Fall guys is one of the most popular game released in 2020. The chaotic battle royale of lovable characters combined with elements from Wipeout and other obstacle course made it a huge hit among the fans. After the acquisition from Epic games, there were speculations that the game would go free to play and more. That speculation turned out to be true, and the game is going free on June 21th 2022. It is also launching on PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, Xbox and the Epic Games store simultaneously.
People who bought the game previously will get a bonus legacy pack. It will contain a nickname, nameplate, the regal costume, the veggie dog costume, the feisty dwarf costume—and a season pass for season 1. Buyers who already own the game will still be able to continue playing, but new users will need Epic games launcher to play the game.
As the game countdown to the “Free to Play” release date, Epic games have launched a pre-registration event to unlock rewards inside the game. You will need an Epic games account to pre-register. The rewards are based on the milestones unlocked by the numbers of pre-registration. Altogether there are 5 rewards — each with half a million registrations as milestones. If pre registration numbers should pass 2.5 million, everyone who pre-registered gets all 5 rewards.
After going “Free to Play” users won’t be able to purchase the game on Steam store. Users were already furious about needing to make an epic games account — this cements the legacy. A new season will also kick in even though the original game went through 6 seasons. You can find more information about updates and changes on a blog post. Epic games also claim to bring faster load times and other performance upgrades with this release.
