Teamviewer Quicksupport Lets You Remotely Control Android devices

0

Teamviewer Quicksupport is an application which lets you control supported Android devices from your desktop or another Android device. I remember using this application on my Samsung Galaxy S4 then forgot about it since the users were remotely controlled through the Teamviewer hack. Had to recommend using this application after my brother’s Samsung S8+ was not allowing VPN connections. A rogue application was creating an overlay which stopped him from confirming the VPN connection prompt. After I checked the running services, I was able to uninstall the rogue app which fixed the problem. I could have helped him by writing step by step instructions, but it could not have been fast as using an app that could let me control his device remotely.

To make your device controllable with Teamviewer quicksupport, an additional plugin is required. Without the add-on, it is not as useful. If you use any of the popular devices, it is almost certain Teamviewer will have the additional plugin for your device. Once you set up both application and the add on your device is ready to be remotely controlled through the desktop or another device. Now you are ready to control someone’s device. Moreover, you can control your device without switching from desktop to your Android device every time.

If you have used Teamviewer before, the connection process is the same. You see a Teamviewer ID on your Android device which you use to control the device remotely. A prompt is shown on the Android device which approves the remote connection from the Quicksupport application. The other party connecting just needs the Teamviewer application installed on their desktop or Android device. With TeamViewer quicksupport application you can use your Android device as a second monitor. You can perform tasks on your device which otherwise would require physical interaction.

Additionally, you can view your live device information like Storage, battery and CPU/RAM usage information.

TeamViewer QuickSupport Device Info

While it may seem like you are multitasking with your device, the device is unlocked, and the screen is left open to operate the remote control session. So if you are not near your phone, anyone can pick it up and use it. So unlike to remove desktop application for desktop computers, this alleviates battery usage and security concerns. The remote control interface on your desktop can also not be very fluid and responsive to your actions.

  • Complete device control without restrictions

  • No unattended access support for security.
  • Exits completely and does not run on background.

Just as a precaution, learn how to disable teamviewer after you are done with remote viewer session on your Android device. Teamviewer was compromised some time before so it is much safer that it doesn’t let Teamviewer unattended access cause problem. Teamviewer updates the settings to run on the background everytime you update so you will have to revert the settings everytime.
