Mozilla Firefox has introduces another amazing feature that will make you love Firefox even more. The new feature “Firefox Hello” will enable you to chat with people without the need for a extra plugin like other video chat apps require like Facebook and Hangouts. Instead Firefox uses the WebRTC feature enables P2P chat where you just send a link to someone you want to have a video chat with and if they have a browser with WebRTC like Chrome and opera, they can instantly join the voice chat.
Although the feature isn’t enabled by default and you have to activate it through the “about:config” page by disabling “loop.throttled” to “false“. Then restart the browser and check your firefox customize page where you’ll find the “Hello” icon which you can drag to the toolbar.
Then you can start using the feature. Once you start click the icon, it generates a unique link which you can send to your family and friends who can join you in a chat with you. And if you use a Firefox Sync account, you can log into that account to have your contacts for simple click and call without having to send them links.
That’s it, let us know what you experience with this and what you think in the comments. We’ll be happy to hear about them.
