Ad blockers for browsers are something everyone should have. The browsing experience is much much enhanced when you don’t see ads everywhere you browse in the internet. And even sometime block awkward ads at workplace or elsewhere. But Adblocks extensions and plugins till now have been hogging the system to achieve the web without ads. That’s about to be replaced with uBlock. uBlock uses a different methodology to drastically cut down the use of system resource for blocking ads and elements in browsers.
And the project is completely open-source and anyone could take a look at the code or even make it better. The project is hosted at GitHub. You can download the extension for your browser at uBlock Installation at GitHub.
So, Go ahead and give this extension a try. In Firefox it’s a non-restart required plugin, so you could be using it right away. Although, you should disable other plugins before enabling uBlock to stop any conflicts.
