Samsung Galaxy S4 is the latest flagship device from Samsung which is a thinner, faster and feature rich Android powerhouse. Samsung Galaxy S4 was revealed in March in New York amidst huge fanfare.

The Samsung Galaxy S4 is codenamed GT-19500 and will be available in two flavors with two different processor namely Octa-Core Samsung Exynos 5 chip (8 cores)  clocked at 1.6GHz  and Snapdragon 600 (4 cores) at 1.9 GHz. The Samsung Galaxy S4 will have expandable microSD card slot allowing upto 64 GB of storage and 50 GB from Dropbox. According to a recent news release from Samsung different processors will be shipped in different countries for reasons unknown. And both models might be available on some markets.

Design:

Samsung with its huge success with Samsung Galaxy S3, hasn’t made any huge changes to its overall design. Although it has made it more slimmer and lighter than Galaxy S3. Samsung Galaxy S4 only weighs 130gm and 7.9 mm thickness. Two colored versions, White Frost and Black Mist are to be available on release.

Display:-

Samsung is going to 5in Full HD (1,920×1,080) Super AMOLED screen (16M colors) with 441 ppi just a bit lower than the HTC One phone. The phone will use Samsung’s own TouchWiz as it user interface. And Corning Gorilla Glass 3 makes the phone durable and scratch proof for clear screens with hard stress from sharp objects. Samsung has featured new enhancements like Air View and Air Gesture that allows easy navigation on the Phone. Air View lets you hover over contents on the phone to preview them, Air Gestures lets you set actions with your hands and fingers movements without touching the screen surface.

Camera:-

Samsung Galaxy S4 will be featuring a 13 MP 4128 x 3096 pixels rear camera with flash and also a high speed shutter mode with a 2 MP front camera for voice calling. You can also record a Full HD video(1080p with 30 fps rear camera) with the ability to record with both rear and front camera at the same time. Samsung Galaxy S4 will allow you to use both camera at the same time called Dual Shot stamping the picture from the front camera to the picture from the rear camera. The front camera acts more than just a camera as it acts as a sensor for features like Smart Pause allowing the phone to automatically pause the phone as you look away from the phone. The camera also tracks your eyes so it doesn’t automatically go to sleep while you’re still watching the screen, which is available from Samsung Galaxy S4.

Processor:

According to Samsung, Samsung Galaxy S4 will feature two processor for different markets. One fitted with 1.6GHz Octa-Core Samsung Exynos 5 chip containing 8 cores and the other with Snapdragon 600 with just 4 cores clocked at 1.9 GHz. According to rumors countries that feature 4G LTE network will get the Snapdragon and countries without 4G LTE will get the Exynos processor. Other rumors say it might be heat issues while other say the company might not have enough time to produce larger amount of processor as Galaxy lines of phone sell much faster than other Android Phone and Samsung plans to sell about 100 million of these sets.

Sensors:

Samsung Galaxy S4 will feature Accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass, barometer, temperature, humidity, gesture and NFC as sensors. This allows consumers to use the device for more that just a smartphone allowing engaging games, quick data transfers, weather and directions.

Battery:

The Samsung Galaxy S4 will feature a removable Li-Ion 2600 mAh battery whose Stand-by and Talk time are still yet to be verified after its release onto the market. Samsung Galaxy S3 only had 2100 mAh battery life so this should allow the set to work full day with 4G and more cores.
