The Samsung Galaxy S2 (or Galaxy S II ) is a smartphone with Android system announced by Samsung in February 13th of 2011 at the Mobile World Congress and is currently the second thinnest smartphone with Dual-Core processor (exceeded only by NEC and will only be released in Japan ).
Samsung Galaxy S2 is the successor to the Samsung Galaxy S. It has a dual-core SoC processor with 1.2 GHz, the Samsung Exynos. It has 1 GB of RAM, 10.8 cm (4.3 “) WVGA SuperAMOLED Plus and an 8 megapixel camera with flash LED that can record 1080p HD video at 30 fps (frame per second). It is one of the first devices to support the Mobile High-definition Link (MHL) technology, which allows the transmission of video over HDMI in 1080p, using the device while 16/32Gb internal memory with memory card slot up to 32GB. The device comes with Social Hub that integrates social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter in one place instead of separate applications. Samsung Galaxy S2 comes with Android 2.3.3 (Gingerbread) installed. Unlike the first Galaxy S , in Brazil it does not have digital TV, as well as other countries. The weight of the phone is 116g.
Samsung Galaxy S2comes with support for various multimedia file formats and codecs. For audio support FLAC , WAV , Vorbis , MP3 , AAC , AAC + , eAAC +, WMA , AMR-NB, AMR-WB, MID , AC3 , XMF, for image support JPEG , PNG , GIF , WBMP, BMP and AGIF, the codecs Video MPEG4 , H.264 , H.263 , DivX HD / XviD , VC-1 ) and video formats 3GP (MPEG-4), WMV (Advanced Systems Format), AVI (DivX).
