Open Source Hardware monitor

Open Hardware monitor is able to monitor your processors, motherboards and hard disk sensors for fan speeds, temperature, voltages, load and clock speeds and also check your RAM

Another great addition to my open source tools is Open Hardware monitor which has got some awesome features and is really simple to use. Open Hardware Monitor is a tool from Michael Möller which is able to monitor your processors, motherboards and hard disk sensors for fan speeds, temperature, voltages, load and clock speeds and also check your RAM load. And its totally open source and free makes it a whole more awesome.

This also serves as a quick diagnosis tool to check if you have any problem that has been slowing your pc down or causing it to overheat. Some configuration might cause hardware to malfunction creating problems on your pc or laptop, and software utilities fail to identify them. So these hardware monitors come real handy.

Open Source Hardware Monitor is currently in beta stage but works really well and the display widget allows you to permanently add a widget to your desktop where the data are shown live. This allows you to quickly check the current usage of your computer resources so you can act accordingly. If any of the data like temperature and/or loads are very high or above thresholds, you will have to diagnose whats causing it or you might loose your data if you continue.

Let us know how it goes in the comments.
