By | 29th June, 2011 | 0 Comments

Google Swiffy is a free online tool by Google which converts Flash files(swf formats) to HTML5. This enables browsers and flash developers to use their animations without the need of the flash plugin. The browser however needs the webkit support so, it currently works on Chromium browsers and Safari (both mobile and desktop) at the moment. Adobe is OK with Google swiffy as it extends the reach flash animations to devices that currently doesn’t support flash.

Swiffy is tested to best work with flash files created on Flash 5. And also it supports most of the Flash 5 ActionScripts but if an unsupported SWF file or ActionScript is encountered it’ll throw an error.

Its quite simple to use as you just have to upload your flash file and let Swiffy start its conversion and it will let you download the converted file which you can use on your sites.
