Safe to delete Windows Intaller Folder in C:\?
« on: Mar 03, 2015, 11:06 PM »
I see a lot of space being taken by the files on the installer folder on my Windows 8 installation, I was wondering if they are safe to delete so i can free up some space on the drive.

There are a ton of files more that 500 mb in size and they run some sort of installation when i run them. so i'm not sure if it they are safe to delete them.

Any one know anything about them?

Thanks

Hi,

it is not safe to delete these files as these are required for uninstalling some applications in Windows. They may not be required while you're not trying to uninstall applications so you can move them to a different drive or flash drive to save some space. But you'll have to move them back when you plan to uninstall some Programs or application from your Windows.

So, to be safe don't delete the folder. if it's taking up too much space just move it to a different drive.

Hope it helps!!
