The guys at XDA have succesfully ported the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich to Samsung Galaxy S. It is fully functional and is working great. Here's a video of Samsung Galaxy S running Ice Cream Sandwich.

Means there is no problem for updating it it will work perfectly

Yup, i am currently using Onecosmics ROM and its amazing.

Ice Cream Sandwich is very fast and amazing on itself.
And with root and added features its good for daily use and with NSTools you can overclock and stuffs.
