Valve has long been trying to get into Linux OS for some time and Linux users are more than excited to see them make the jump. And now time has come for all Linux users to rejoice who have a Steam Account. Valve has started Beta Testing for Steam users who run Linux. Valve announced the private Beta testing this September 26.
According to Valve, the private external beta will include

- Steam
- One Valve game
- Support for Ubuntu 12.04 and above
It will not yet include:
- Big Picture mode
- Additional Valve games
So if you’re a Linux user but still use Windows to get on Steam servers, this is your chance to test out the first of the Valve Steam Client for Linux Platform.
